My name is Marcelo Somers. I live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth suburbs with my wife, Kelly and our dog, Emmie. By day, I help companies solve their biggest challenges as a user experience design consultant at Credera.
Behind Companies has been my place to write, share, and learn since 2010. In 2011, I also founded The Syndicate.

Behind the Scenes
- Long-form writing is done using IA Writer on the Mac. Posting is done with MarsEdit.
- Development is done using Coda and source controlled with Git on a self-hosted Gitolite repo. Some day I plan on migrating my theme to SASS/Compass.
- Back-end is powered by WordPress.
- Hosting is done on a self-managed Digital Ocean 512MB VPS on a LAMP stack running on Ubuntu 12.04.
