Matt Salisbury:

Twitter integration and aggregating content doesn’t mean jack if your audience doesn’t want it. When a group of kids pitched a web series with tumblr and facebook integration and characters brand-blogging away, they got beat up by a panel for not giving audiences what they wanted: good storytelling. Elaborate “added value” is meaningless if your audience doesn’t know it or won’t want it. Of course, your audience hasn’t invented the systems and stories you’re telling, but they know their needs and respect things that help them.

Smart blog. I’m really enjoying it.
