I don’t think anyone realizes what a big deal this was:

The first-ever live stream of a Super Bowl in the United States attracted 2,105,441 users, making it the most-watched, single-game sports event ever online.

Sports is the single saving grace for cable companies at the moment. At SXSW 2010, Mark Cuban even sat on a panel where he said there simply wasn’t the infrastructure to stream an event like the Super Bowl. Times are changing. Time Warner/Comcast/others take notice.
