It’s almost as if Microsoft woke up one day a few years ago, realized they didn’t have a good online strategy, looked to who was killing it in the space (Google) and decided to copy that. What they should have done is focus on their actual strengths. Instead, they created a new weakness.

Because we can isn’t a valid reason for doing something. It sure looks like that is what Microsoft is doing with Bing. Their online services need to play to their core competency: serving large corporations.

From experience, Search is an absolute abomination in Sharepoint. Perhaps they should overlap some technology and instantly serve their corporate customers better.
